My culture

 

today we were learning about our culture and we helped takutai with learning about their culture too. I had to help my brother with this too because he didn't know as much as I knew about our family.

10 things i would take on a boat for 3 weeks

 

For the SLJ we did 10 things that you would take for 3 weeks on a boat. there is a lot of food and this is what we picked. Did you know that marshmallows last for at least 5 to 10 months. my class helped Takutai sign up for the SLJ then we watched a video. we are teaching them how to blog. by Meka 

Diwali Diyas

 for term 4 when have been learning about Diwali. we made Diyas this is mine I really like the colors and the flower in the middle. Diya is a light holder so if you have a candle you can put them in a Diya. How we made then is we used air dry clay in a shape of a small bowl and make a pattern in the middle of your Diya, let it dry for 2-3 days until it is the color white then get bright colors to paint your Diya the way you want. by Meka

Diwali

 

for the term, we are learning about Diwali and this is one of the celebrations with Diwali. wish celebration when they make flags for their loved ones or their lost ones. Even little kids don't wish for money or a cool toy they want to know more things about the world. It is also Diwali right now. by Meka

Diwali Rangoli Patterns

 

For this term, we have been learning about Diwali and Rangoli stuff and today I have been doing rangoli patterns and this one is mine it looks a long time to make hope you like it. It is not copied like some people might do. it was hard to make on digital. But other than that it was good.

Diwali

For this term, we are doing Diwali. Even for our school concert.  This time we did Diwali vs Matariki. the hardest part is the things that are similar about Diwali and Matariki. I couldn't think of many things that are similar. by meka

 Quatrain poems.   Quatrain poems are when there are only 4 lines. and we made 4 poems. here are the letters that make her rhyme ABAB and there is morehere in my poems.

languishing oems

 languishing poems are when there are 5 lings 3 rhymes and 2 ryme. It was hard to think of what they are going to do. My favorite one is the languishing  poem about ella. when you right ob=ne it goes AA BB A. what does that mean? it means the A's have to rhyme and the B's have to rhyme si if you look the first 2 lines don't rhyme with the second 2.

for calendar art this year we did use dye to dye the background. then miss farr took photos of us. After that, we cut ourselves out and stuck it to the paper. then we grabbed a new piece of paper and did a bubbler for your favorite place in the world and then we added red, orange, blue, and dark blue. We were finished we added black vivid to write our names and the year it will come out. Then we added shadows with black paper. Before we started we made color wells to know what colors to add. This week for maths we did logos. What I mean by logos is when we had to look for logos where rotation reflection translation. We also had to make our own I only did rotation reflection. when I made mine I used an app to make mine so they will look didfrent to the other logos in my class. By Meka

Epitaph poems. Epitaph poems are the writing on gravestones. most of them rhyme and we made ours funny we had to do it about made-up people my favorite one is Judith one about her exploding. I loved writing these are very funny here are some of mine.

Paralympics

 for the last 3 weeks, we have been learning about the Paralympics it was very interesting I liked making a poster about it hope we can do more. The Paralympics is really cool to watch when you were in lockdown. there is a girl that lives near me from the Paralypics

 

for My poster, we had to find what to write and we had to find pictures and but it all together I think it was a fun thing to do the Olympics and the Paralympics sign is different i didn't know that till yesterday.

Back to school activity

 

 when we go back to school we had a task to do it was how you are feeling about going back to school. all of our desks have 2 or 3 people on them. but I liked this task maybe if we go back into lockdown we can do it again. I got distracted by my desk group

what do you meme

 

for a task this week we had to do a what do you meme it was fun and funny. some of them were hard to find what you should put on them

meerkats

 

we had to take a quiz and research about it I picked meerkats they are such cute animals. I wish they are in new Zealand. by meka

boy on a bike

 

today we read about a boy on a bike that had to ride it up and downhill from wellington and past Auckland.

in 22 days. he was raising money for st john to get more ambulances by riding a bike and it had works he had rais money for the ambulances st john. By Meka

 for word of the week, we had the same slide and I found out something today and that is obligation. I had no idea what it meant. by meka
